PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia gas measuring instrument with measurement accuracy enhanced by restraining measurement errors from occurring due to loss of NO<SB>2</SB>in a specimen flow path. SOLUTION: A catalyst 16 for reducing NO<SB>2</SB>to NO is provided in a downstream-side specimen gas route (first route 18) close to a catalyst 13 provided in a probe 11 for specimen collection, the catalyst 13 used for oxidating or reducing ammonia. This makes it possible to reduce NO<SB>2</SB>to NO again before it is lost, even if NO is oxidated to NO<SB>2</SB>by the catalyst 13 used for oxidating or reducing ammonia.
