<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce image failure due to pulling or pushing in of a sheet by a fixing apparatus and a transfer apparatus in both monochromatic printing and color printing, in an image forming apparatus reducing the load on control of an engine controller or arithmetic operation processings, suppressing oscillation, when the latter half of the sheet is passed through a transfer part by reducing the looped amount when the latter half of the sheet is passed and provided with an abutting/separating function in a color image forming part. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet transportation control apparatus is provided with a loop-control means for controlling the looped amount formed on a sheet by the transfer apparatus and the fixing apparatus, by controlling fixing transport speed for transporting the sheet by the fixing means and a loop-detecting means for detecting the looped amount in multisteps. A means of controlling the fixing transport speed varying to a smaller looped amount, in order as the transport of one end of the sheet is proceeded by detecting and controlling the looped amount in multisteps by the loop control means within a transport period for one piece of a sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
