PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article retention preventing device capable of securely preventing an article from remaining without changing a configuration of a system and relying on human labor. SOLUTION: This article retention preventing device has free conveyors 23a, 23b inclined to store an article and is provided with a striker 71 for vibrating conveyor rollers 24 of the free conveyors 23a, 23b. The free conveyors 23a, 23b are assembled on a supporting frame to provide a slight movable region in the vertical direction to give vibration to the conveyor rollers 24 by letting the striker 71 abut on the free conveyors 23a, 23b from below in the direction of its moving.
