The present invention provides a method by which a highly active catalyst for the steam reforming of methanol is efficiently produced by a simple process. The catalyst is produced from alloy fine particles obtained by first grinding an A1 alloy containing quasi-crystals consisting of aluminum, copper and at least one metal atom selected from Fe, Ru and Os, and then leaching the ground Al alloy. |
