<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unwanted parameter from being set. <P>SOLUTION: After confirming the IP mode of a setting target printer, i.e. communication procedures to which the setting target printer conforms (s302), a PC specifies a parameter required for realizing the communication functions in conformity with the communication procedures confirmed this way, and then, the PC sets a suitable parameter for the setting target printer (s304-s320). Accordingly, the setting of a parameter for communication standard to which the setting target printer does not conform, i.e. the unwanted parameter is not instructed from the PC 10, and no unwanted parameter is set in the setting target printer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
