METHOD FOR PROPAGATING FISH BY TRANSPLANTATION OF GERM CELL USING TRIPLOID RECIPIENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently propagating or breeding fish by specifically forming an ovum and/or a sperm derived from a donor without forming the ovum and/or the sperm derived from a recipient in a differentiation-inducing method to a germ cell line of a separated primordial germ cell wherein the separated primordial germ cell derived from a donor fish is transplanted to an early embryo of a recipient fish of a different kind.

SOLUTION: The differentiation-inducing method for the separated primordial germ cell to the germ cell line involving transplanting the separated primordial germ cell derived from the donor fish to the early embryo of the recipient fish in the different kind involves specifically forming the ovum and/or the sperm derived from the donor, especially in the female, without forming the ovum and/or the sperm derived from the recipient by using triploid fish as the recipient fish different from the donor.
