PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of rotating a lens protector by 360°around the optical axis of a lens, in a camera state capable of photographing an image by rocking the lens protector, and suitable for monitoring. SOLUTION: The camera has an imaging device 1 having the lens 11, a supporter 2 which supports the imaging device 1 and has a ring gear 22 rotatable freely around the optical axis (a) of the lens 11, and a mirror 31 facing the lens 11; and has a structure provided with the lens protector 3 supported at a pivot by the ring gear 22 rockably, and an electric motor 4 having a drive gear 42 to be engaged with the ring gear 22. In the camera, the protector 3 is rotated in its rocked state to a lens open position where the course of reflected light by the mirror 31 coincides with the optical axis (a) of the lens 11.
