<p>A wire cut electrodischarge machine processes a workpiece utilizing the electrical discharge energy generated between a running wire electrode (1) and the workpiece. The wire cut electrodischarge machine comprises a supply roller (2) for supplying a wire electrode (1), a slider block (11) capable of moving vertically, a guide pipe (9) fixed to the slider block (11) and adapted to guide the wire electrode (1), a hollow member (10) fixed to the slider block (11) and tapering in the feed direction of wire, and gas supply means for emitting compressed gas against the outside of the hollow member (10). The hollow member (10) is inserted into the hollow of the guide pipe (9) so that they may have a fixed overlap length of (L) with a radial clearance of (D1) between them. The compressed gas supplied by the gas supply means feeds the wire electrode (1), and thus the automatic supply of the wire electrode (1) is achieved reliably by means of compressed gas in the guide pipe (9).</p> |
