<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which can be quickly started even in a circumstance of low temperature, by preventing freezing of water in a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 2 is kept warm by a heat insulation structure 10, and in case the temperature of external air or the temperature at the dew point measured by a measuring means 22 is lower than a prescribed standard value after stopping power generation of the fuel cell, external air is led into a gas flow passage of the fuel cell 2 by operating an external air supply means 8. By the above, evaporation of moisture in the fuel cell 2 is promoted by the difference between the dew point temperature of external air and the temperature of the fuel cell, and the inside of the fuel cell is efficiently dried. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
