<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a fuel tank capable of being locked without separately requiring a lock and capable of being attached and detached to and from a cap attachment port by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: When the cap 5 is attached to the cap attachment port 1, respective engagement projections 27 of a hooking piece 26 are inserted to respective notches 3 of the cap attachment port 1 from above and an operation cap 10 (inner body 7) covers the cap attachment port 1 from above. When the operation cap 10 is turned in a LOCK direction, all of a hollow shaft 11, a lock plate 12, a cylinder lock 17, a spacer cylinder 20, a lower cam 22, an upper cam 24 and the hooking piece 26 are turned in the same direction and when an angle becomes 35°, only the turning of the engagement projection 27 and the upper cam 24 is stopped by a stopper 9. When the operation cap 10 is further turned in the same direction, the upper cam 24 is upwardly moved with the hooking piece 26 by the cam action of the lower cam surface 23 and the upper cam surface 25 and the respective engagement projections 27 of the hooking piece 26 are engaged with an engagement part 4 of the cap attachment port 1 from below. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
