A drive of the round-knitting machine has an electric motor, a V-belt gear, which drive pulley is rigidly installed on the shaft of the electric motor, and the driven one is rigidly connected to the cylindrical pinion kinematically connected to the toothed wheel of the mechanism for product receiving, and two pairs of pinions, each of those has the lower and the upper pinions placed on vertical axes in opposite in diameter positions with respect to each other and kinematically connected to each other; at that the lower pinions are kinematically connected to the toothed wheel for product receiving and the upper ones to the toothed wheel of the needle cylinder and knitting mechanism. The drive is equipped with two cylindrical torsion springs, each of those is installed at vertical axis and is kinematically connected to the lower and the upper pinion.
