PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device of a vacuum cleaner allowing a user to instantly and easily confirm the operation state of a driving part consisting of an electric fan. SOLUTION: The display device 16 of the vacuum cleaner displays the operation state of the electric fan 11 for sucking dust. The display device comprises a linear light emitter 18 with the linear light emitting range varying according to the quantity of incoming light, a light emitting diode 19 disposed at least on one end side in the longitudinal direction of the linear light emitter 18, a current sensor 20 for detecting electric currents running in the electric fan 11, and a control part 21 for controlling the quantity of emitted light from the light emitting diode 19 based on the result of detection by the current sensor 20.
