<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system by which a player can play a game by remotely operating a game machine with the use of a portable information terminal without impairing the amusement to play the game. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone 5 performs communication with a game device 1 by a line exchange system. When the portable telephone 5 performs access, the telephone number of the portable telephone 5 is reported to the game device 1. A connection part 11 controls connection with referring to the telephone number of the portable telephone 5 and a telephone number which is stored in a storage part 13 and permitted for connection. Thus, the determination of connection control, based on a password, etc., is not required. Image information to be obtained from a camera 23 is transmitted by the line exchange system, so that the display part 53 of the portable telephone 5 displays a smooth animation image in real-time. A plurality of photographing means are arranged, so that the situation of a game field is displayed from various angles.
