PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified chair such as a pipe chair which is breathable and can easily dismantle and wash a backrest section when it gets filthy or replace it with other backrest, maintain good back support, and reduce weight. SOLUTION: This chair is composed of a pair of backrest rods 13 on right and left sides between which distance is extended upwards, an approximately rectangular backrest sheet body 18 which at least the edge sections on both sides and the lower edge section are pouched, the pouched section on the side edge 20 and the pouched section on the lower edge 21 are internally connected with each other, and an insertion slot 22 is formed on the bottom edge of the pouched section on the side edge, and a backrest connecting rod 14 which is connected across the bottom sections of the backrest rods in a detachable manner. A backrest section 4 is formed by inserting the backrest rods from the insertion slot of the backrest sheet body, in the state the backrest connecting rod is inserted in the pouched section on the side edge of the backrest sheet body, while applying tension to each of the pouched sections on the side edge on both sides and then connecting the backrest connecting rod across the bottom sections of the backrest rods.
