PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a house appliance control system and a house appliance control apparatus capable of easily confirming a state of a house appliance being a remote control object while suppressing a load imposed on a home network. SOLUTION: A home server 20 allows a camera to photograph a house appliance on the basis of remote control information used for remotely controlling a motor-driven curtain 30 and a house appliance information table wherein the house appliance and the camera are associated with each other, acquires an image before the control being a still picture via a home network to which the house appliance is connected, transmits the confirmation information before the control including the image before the control to a remote control terminal 10 via the home network, and transmits control information for controlling the house appliance to the house appliance on the basis of an affirmative response received from the remote control terminal 10.
