Exhaust gas recirculation valve (10) arranged in an exhaust gas recirculation line (12) comprises a valve element (16) arranged on a valve seat (14) so that it tilts, rotates or pivots about an axis perpendicular to the flow direction. In the closed state the valve seat is sealed around its periphery by the valve element. An Independent claim is also included for an exhaust gas recirculation system comprising at least one exhaust gas recirculation valve. Preferred Features: The bearing (18, 20, 22, 24) of the valve element is arranged downstream of the valve seat. The valve element is circular. |
