<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp which maintains electric discharge length equivalent to that of conventional compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamps. <P>SOLUTION: The compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp includes two U-shaped bent bulbs 7 and 8 having electrodes 12a and 12b respectively, and U-shaped bent bulbs 9, 10 and 11 not having electrodes which form one discharge path by connecting the U-shaped bent bulbs 7 and 8 to each other. The U-shaped bent bulbs 9, 10 and 11 not having electrodes have the glass tube inside diameter smaller than those of the U-shaped bent bulbs 7 and 8, and thus the U-shaped bent bulb can be arranged in a place where that can not be usually placed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
