PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic storage device where a shape of a magnetic yoke can be materialized, and also, a magnetic field caused from the magnetic yoke is increased by optimization of a shape and writing current can be reduced. SOLUTION: In respective open end parts 14 and 16 of the magnetic yoke 18, maximum thickness T1 in a magnetic yoke diameter direction Y is made larger than maximum thickness T2 in the magnetic yoke diameter direction Y of a second magnetic layer 28 in a magnetoresistance effect element 20.
