PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely join a steel shell and an RC member together. SOLUTION: In this structure for joining the RC member and the steel shell as a skeleton of a structure to each other, a reinforcement 12 forming the RC member is connected to a reinforcement joint 11 which is attached to a hollow section of the steel shell; the RC member is formed by placing concrete; and concrete is integrally infilled into the hollow section of the steel shell, so that the RC member can be formed in a state of being integrally joined to the outside of the steel shell. The structure is applied when the RC member as a floor slab 5 for a widened section is joined to the outside of a segment 6 of a shield tunnel by using the segment 6 as the steel shell. A channel-section steel segment with a skin plate is adopted on the outer peripheral side of a web, and the hollow section is secured by removing the skin plate and mounting a form 17 on an inner peripheral side.
