PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support device and a method for constructing a high-performance control model when controlling a control target by the control model. SOLUTION: Two or more pieces of data stored in a database 121 for control model construction in a control model construction support device 100 are divided into two or more data groups having no statistical difference with a data division means 114 and are stored in respective databases of a division database 122. Then, the control model is constructed from one divided data group with a model construction means 115, and the constructed control model is evaluated with a model evaluation means 116 by using another data.
