PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black light suited for irradiating ultraviolet rays to an endoscope which is formed with a surface treated part exhibiting hydrophilicity by receiving the irradiation of the ultraviolet rays. SOLUTION: This black light 10 is provided with retaining means 28 and 34 retaining the endoscope 12 and an ultraviolet ray irradiation source 42 irradiating the ultraviolet rays. At least, a part of the outer surface of an optical member of the endoscope 12 is formed with the surface treatment part 26 exhibiting the hydrophilicity by receiving the irradiation of the ultraviolet rays. The retaining means 28 and 34 retain the endoscope 12 to receive the irradiation of the ultraviolet rays from the ultraviolet irradiation source 42. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
