The invention relates to a coupling agent for an elastomeric composition comprising a reinforcing filler. The inventive coupling agent comprises a combination of the following: between 10 and 90 % of a mixture of poly(alkyl phenol) polysulphides having formula (I), wherein R is an alkyl radical comprising between 1 and 20 carbon atoms, n and n' are two integers of between 1 and 8 and p is an integer of between 0 and 50; and between 10 and 90 % bis- triethoxysilylpropyl tetrasulphide. The invention also relates to the vulcanisable elastomeric composition comprising a reinforcing filler, for which the coupling agent is used. The invention further relates to a moulded article which is obtained by forming and heating the aforementioned composition.
