<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing boiled rice food of nonglutinous rice, unifying a steamed-up condition and shortening a steaming-up time without the need of a means complicated and requiring skill such as sprinkling water, and stably improved in palate feeling and flavor. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the boiled rice food comprises adding 1-20 mass% of starch to rice and completely cooking the product in a steaming process.
