PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust a backlash amount of an engaging part with a simple constitution after being assembled. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device is equipped with a first housing 8 supporting a worm 3 interlockingly connected to an output shaft of an electric motor, a steering shaft supporting a worm wheel 4 engaging with the worm 3, and a second housing 9 supporting the steering shaft and mounted to the first housing 8. The electric power steering device is equipped with a headed screw (a pivot part) which relatively oscillatably pivots the second housing 9 to the first housing 8 into the direction in which the center distance H between the worm 3 and the worm wheel 4 becomes the long or short, a shaft body 15 (an oscillating means) which relatively oscillates the first housing 8 and the second housing 9 with the headed screw as the center, and a nut (a maintaining means) which maintains the relatively oscillating state by the shaft body 15.
