The invention relates to a method and device for the production of aqueous rinsing fluids for rinsing enameling lines for water-based lacquer by recycling used rinsing liquids. The purity of the recylate produced for re-use is determined by means of continuous verification with regard to contamination from lacquer-incompatible substances which enter into the recycling process as a result of the used rinsing liquids; the signal of the analysis device controls the recycling process in such a way that it is possible to guarantee separation of the disruptive contaminating substances.
