摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital signal decoding device capable of improving an error rate performance with respect to the effect of magnetization transfer noise. SOLUTION: The viterbi decoder for executing decoding by a branch metric computer 400, an ACS computer 500 and a path memory 600 is provided with a decoder input signal selector 100 for selecting the input destination of a decoder input signal, a likelihood control circuit 200 for controlling a likelihood function, and a register 300 for holding a constant accompanying the controlled likelihood function. Decoding performance with respect to magnetization transfer noise is improved by a decoding method using a plurality of likelihood functions in which an error distribution value based on the effect of noise is set as a parameter at each PR equalization target level.
