<p>A vehicle drive force controller for suppressing a slip of a drive wheel of a vehicle comprising means for calculating a target speed change ratio according to said running state and for transmitting a speed change ratio command signal to control a speed change ratio of said transmission to the target speed change ratio in accordance with the slip of said drive wheel such that a torque transmitted by said transmission is reduced when the slip of said drive wheel was detected, means for controlling said drive force reducing means in accordance with the slip of said drive wheel, said means being adapted to reduce the drive force of the drive wheel more strongly when the engine load is larger than the predetermined load, means for modifying said speed change ratio command signal to reduce the torque transmitted by said transmission more strongly when said engine load is equal to or less than the predetermined load by modifying said speed change ratio command signal when the slip of said drive wheel was detected.</p> |
