PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device which enables a user to hear various informing sounds outputted from a loudspeaker of the photographing device even in if the user is far from the photographing device when photographing. SOLUTION: The photographing device includes an informing sound emission means 10 and a control means 12. The means 10 is provided with a self-timer function of performing a photographing operation a prescribed time after an operation for photographing and/or a remote operation function of performing a photographing operation by remote operation and outputs informing sounds. When an informing sound is outputted in a photographing standby state before the photographing operation is performed after the self-timer function is started by an operation or before the remote operation function is terminated after being started by an operation, the control means 12 controls the informing sound emission means so that the volume of the informing sound is made larger than that of the informing sound emitted in states other than the photographing standby state.
