<p>An environmentally friendly propulsion system for a boat has a solar cell (1) powered electric motor (4) driving a compressor (5) to charge compressed air bottles (7). These power air jets inside Venturi shaped ducts (9) to propel the boat. The solar cells charge batteries (3) via a control module (2). The compressor can also be connected to a mains supply (6), e.g. when moored. The thrusters have a rectangular cross section with a length at least three times the widest aperture and with rudder vanes positioned in the thrust.</p> |
