PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller and a driver for stably driving a MEMS type bi-stable display device. SOLUTION: A display system includes one driving circuit configured so as to output signals on the basis of video data for display and a bi-stable display device including an array having a plurality of bi-stable display elements, and the array is configured to display video data by using signals received from the driving circuit, and the driving circuit is configured so as to partition the array into two or more fields, each of which includes at least one bi-stable display element, to refresh each of the two or more fields in accordance with a refresh rate associated with each field.
