<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out printing result inspection with high accuracy, while reducing the size of image printing device. <P>SOLUTION: The inspection device acquires an image printed on a paper by an image printing device as inspection image data, and discriminates quality of the printing result based on the obtained inspection image data. An image reading device scans and reads out, a printing result on a carried paper 50 by predetermined scanning timing in order, and acquires an image printed on the paper 50. The scanning timing is established based on a carrier speed acquired by an encoder 52 which functions as a carrier speed acquisition means. The encoder 52 detects the rotation speed of a carrier idler 44 which positions near an image reading position R, and acquires the carrier speed of a paper based on the obtained rotation speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
