<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create e-mail customized so as to be suitable to localization and format requirements of a prescribed recipient by supporting different applications and tasks. <P>SOLUTION: This e-mail system is provided with a recipient data engine for acquiring prescribed recipient data in response to a request from an application and carrying out an e-mail task. The e-mail system is provided with a message resources file directory (MRFD) for providing the e-mail task and the application with particular message resources file (MRF). The MRF generates e-mail customized for the recipient on the basis of the prescribed recipient data.
