PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent edit information with respect to copyright-protected contents from being invalidated in the case of moving or copying the edit information comprising the contents such as video and music whose copyright is protected and contents such as video and music whose copyright is not protected from a storage medium for storing both the contents through the use of functions of a computer, a digital camera or a mobile phone or the like. SOLUTION: In the case of copying edit information from a copy source on the basis of a database of a copy destination, the edit information is compared with contents of the database, and when the contents of the copy source correspond to contents registered in the database and whose copyright is protected, the matter of the edit information with respect to the contents whose copyright is protected is revised into the contents of the copy destination and whose copyright is protected to prevent the edit information from being invalidated.
