<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming an image on used paper while preventing failure. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 has an image acquiring device 50, which detects whether an image formed on the backside of used paper is a color image or not, the density of the image formed on the backside of the used paper, and an amount of margin at the leading end of the used paper in a conveyance direction. In the case that the image formed on the backside of the used paper is a color image, the image forming apparatus 1 controls the intensity of a transfer electric field for the transfer of a toner image in accordance with the image density detected. In the case that the amount of margin on the backside at the leading end of the used paper in the conveyance direction is not larger than a predetermined amount, the toner image is transferred so that a predetermined amount of margin is left on the surface of the paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
