AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-component type aqueous coating composition that is useful as a primary sealer for inorganic building material such as siding boards. SOLUTION: The aqueous coating composition comprises (I) an aqueous dispersion in which micro-capsules that have an average particle size of 2μm or less and includes each an epoxy resin (A) wherein the amount of the epoxy resin is 20 to 80 wt.% based on the total weight of the micro-capsules and (II) an amine hardening agent. This aqueous coating composition can suitably be used in the method for producing inorganic material by forming an inorganic material, curing the formed material and coating the cured material with a waterborn sealer.
