<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem caused by intrusion of moisture and oxygen from a side edge part, leakage of an optical recording material, or the like to make it possible to perform stable recording and reproduction of information in an optical recording medium having a comparatively thick optical information recording layer. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium consisting of a laminated body constituted of two light transmissive substrates having ≥50 μm thickness and the optical information recording layer interposed between the two light transmissive substrates, consisting of the optical recording material where information is recorded by recording light, and having ≥100 μm thickness is characterized in that a side edge part of the laminated body is coated so that edge parts of the light transmissive substrates and the optical information recording layer are not exposed.
