PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking appliance sufficiently superior in cleaning performance of a cooking chamber. SOLUTION: A cleaning mode can be performed for supplying heated steam to the cooking chamber by a steam supply mechanism (S6 to S9) in a state of heating the cooking chamber to the temperature lower than the temperature when heating and cooking preparations by an electric heating heater (S2 to S4). The heated steam supplied to the cooking chamber condenses by contacting with a wall surface of the cooking chamber in this cleaning mode. At this time, the cooking chamber is heated to the temperature lower than the temperature when heating and cooking the preparations by the electric heating heater, and condenses the steam as mentioned above. Since the effect is also performed in softening a stain sticking to the wall surface of the cooking chamber by heat, moisture of condensation easily permeates into the stain, and the stain is sufficiently swollen up, and wiping-off performance by a user is sufficiently improved.
