PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable charger for solar type portable telephone applicable to a larger number of models and useful, even in disasters. SOLUTION: The charger 1 comprises a portable body 2, a solar panel 3 for solar power generation provided to the body 2, a power accumulating section 4 incorporated in the body 2 and storing electricity generated by the solar panel 3, a socket 9 provided in the body 2 and arranged with an output terminal for extracting power from the power accumulating section 4, a lead 18 removably inserted into the socket 9, and connectors 40, 42 and 44 for respective models each provided with a charger side terminal 40a, 42a, 44a connected to the lead 18 and a telephone side terminal 40b, 42b, 44b of unique profile adaptable to a portable telephone of different model. Since the connectors 40, 42 and 44 for respective models can be connected removably with a common lead 18, the charger 1 can cope with a plurality of portable telephones of different models.
