<p>An antenna (33) is placed on the downstream side in the tape carrying direction of a tape discharge opening (27) for discharging a printed label tape (28) of a tape cassette (21) that is loaded in a cassette containing section (8). Further, a reflective sensor (35) for detecting sensor marks (65) provided at a predetermined spacing L on the back of the printed label tape (28) is placed so as to face the antenna (33) with the printed label tape (28) in between. On the upstream side in the tape carrying direction of the antenna (33) and of the reflective sensor (35) is placed a cutter unit (30) for cutting at a predetermined timing the printed label tape (28) that is discharged from the tape discharge opening (27) of the tape cassette (21).</p>
