PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a digital image photographed with a digital camera into a storage medium such as a memory card and to select a transfer method for the digital image to a communication apparatus such as a wireless LAN card automatically or by user's setting. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 10 is disclosed, which includes a first image transfer method for storing the photographed digital image into the storage medium 30 and transferring the digital image to a communication apparatus 20, and a second image transfer method for storing the digital image into the storage medium 30 and thereafter reading the digital image from the storage medium 30 and transferring the digital image to the communication apparatus 20, and selects the first or second image transfer method automatically or by the user's setting.
