摘要 <p>An excitation unit applies a magnetic field asymmetric to a plane (PLN) and changing as the time elapses, to a fluid. An electrode is arranged on the plane in a measurement pipe and detects a combined electromotive power combining the electromotive force of the dA/dt component (wherein A represents a vector potential and t represents time) generated by the magnetic field applied to the fluid and the flow of the fluid and not related to the flow rate of the fluid and the electromotive force of the v × B component (wherein v represents a flow rate and B represents a magnetic flux density) attributed to the flow rate of the fluid. A state quantification unit extracts the dA/dt component from the combined electromotive force detected by the electrode, extracts a fluctuation factor dependent on the parameter to be detected from the dA/dt component, and quantifies the parameter according to the fluctuation factor. Here, the parameter is at least one of the characteristic of the fluid, the state of the fluid, and the state inside the measurement pipe. Thus, by using the same hardware configuration as the flowmeter of the electromagnetic induction type, it is possible to detect the characteristic and the state of the fluid and the state inside the measurement pipe.</p>
