摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a diaryl carbonate continuously at a high reaction rate with high selectivity even industrially preferable low reaction temperature in a method for producing the diaryl carbonate by a decarbonylation of diaryl oxalate. SOLUTION: This production of a diaryl carbonate comprises continuously feeding diaryl oxalate and a decarbonylation catalyst in liquid state into a first reaction region of a reactor having a plurality of reaction regions in the liquid phase, sequentially leading the liquid phase into the continual reaction regions, and continuously extracting the reaction liquid, which contains the diaryl carbonate, from the final reaction region while removing the formed carbon monoxide from the top of the reaction region, thus carrying out the decarbonylation of the diaryl oxalate.
