The package has a support pad (3) enclosing a container (1) and maintaining the container in a display position. An open-end box (2) has two lateral walls (9) deformed in an elastic manner and an opening which is enlarged by spacing the walls connected to each other for forming lateral edges (10). The spacing between the edges corresponds to width of the pad to maintain the pad in a vertical position by locked contact with the edges. An independent claim is also included for a kit comprising a package.
