<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, for manufacturing a support for a lithographic printing plate, which produces an original lithographic printing plate with excellent stain resistance and resistance to plate wear by electrochemically roughening the surface of the original plate once. <P>SOLUTION: In this method, an aluminum plate is subjected to a process to electrochemically roughen the surface of the plate by running alternating current in an aqueous solution with not more than pH 0.8 value containing at least a chloride ion and a nitric acid ion so that the sum of an electrical quantity is 100 to 300 C/dm<SP>2</SP>when the aluminum plate is used as an anode, and thus, the support for the lithographic printing plate is manufactured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
