PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission chain to be used for a power transmission device such as a CVT, achieving further lower noise. SOLUTION: The chain 1 comprises a plurality of links 2 and first and second pins 3, 4 between which the links 2 are connected to each other. With the first pin 3 held between a pair of opposed sheave surfaces of a pulley, power is transmitted between the first pin 3 and the pulley. A length E2 of the second pin 4 in a free condition is shorter (E2<E1) than a length E1 of the first pin 3 in a free condition. In the state that the first pin 3 is held between the pair of sheave surfaces of the pulley and elastically contracted, a pair of ends 17, 18 of the second pin 4 have slight contact with the corresponding sheave surfaces, respectively.
