PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize device resources and communication resources by properly controlling operations of respective functions in accordance with circumstances in a device on which both a control function and a controlled function of discovery protocols are mounted. SOLUTION: An assigned function of discovery protocols to be activated is determined by referring to pairing information storage table on the basis of a communication destination device selected by a user at the time of communication start and processing contents at the time of communication. When the control function of discovery protocols will be activated during activation of the controlled function, the controlled function is stopped and the control function is activated, and the control function is stopped after the end of processing of the control function, and then the controlled function is activated.
