<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time from start of a printing job to determination of a process speed. <P>SOLUTION: When an inputted image forming job is inputted, driving of an image forming unit is started (S3) at a process speed making a first print out time or a first copy time shortest in an initial process speed.
