<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser device capable of sufficiently discharging heat generated from a semiconductor laser element, and an optical pickup using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser device is provided with a plurality of electrode leads 20 and a semiconductor laser element mounting part 21. The plurality of electrode leads 20 are extended in parallel with the longitudinal direction of a frame body 10 and arranged at equal intervals in the short direction of the frame body 10. A part of the plurality of electrode leads 20 is connected to the semiconductor laser element mounting part 21. The semiconductor laser element mounting part 21 is installed in a position facing the opening part 13 of the frame body 10, and its bottom end surface is exposed to the bottom end surface of the frame body 10. A part of the semiconductor laser element mounting part 21 in which a light receiving element mounting part 43 or a reflector mounting part 44 is installed is notched, and the notched part is raised on the upper end surface side of the semiconductor element mounting part 21 to form a raised part 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
