In order to obtain detailed information on the expansion/stress tensors in the crystallite of a multi-cryistalline solid body, it is necessary to know the crystallite-orientation in relation to a fixed table co-ordinate system. The information on the crystal orientation is maintained in the intensities of the Raman-lines. According to a first step of the invention, said crystal orientation can be determined by evaluating the intensity path of the Raman strips according to the polarisation adjustments of the incident and scattered light. According to a second inventive step, the mechanical stresses can be determined by determining a level state of stresses in relation to the global table co-ordinate system for each crystallite. According to a third inventive step, mechanical stresses in a solid body having a know crystal orientation can be measured by measuring the frequency offsets of the Raman strips. |
