PURPOSE:To prevent the heat loss of molten iron and use a refining device and a slag separating device effectively by making a steel making furnace movable between a blast furnace and a slag separating means, and making the iron notch of the blast furnace connectable to the steel making furnace. CONSTITUTION:The iron receiving port of a converter 13a on a moving carriage 12a is brought into contact with the leading end of a molten iron branch spout 5 in the position A to receive molten iron directly. When a prescribed amt. is attained, the receiving of the iron is stopped, and the converter 13a is moved to the position B by a shifting carriage 8a. Here, the converter 13a and the carriage 12a are unloaded from the carriage 8a by means of a locomotive and are moved on a track 9b and are carried up to the position C of the converter 13c. Here, the converter 13a and the carriage 12a are in contact with a slag separating means 11, and the gear of the converter 13a meshes with gear 23a of a tilting device 23. In this position, refining is accomplished under the cooperation of an oxygen blowing lance and a waste gas recovery installation. Thence, the converter 13a is tilted by the device 23, to flow molten steel through its tap hole into a molten steel spout, thence it is separated to molten steel and molten slag with a skimmer. |
